40 arrested in Montgomery County sweep

Montgomery County sheriffs have arrested 40 people on family violence warrants as part of a nationwide program that seeks to serve outstanding warrants for those suspected of assaulting their family members. The 9th Annual Family Violence Apprehension Detail was conducted in Montgomery last Thursday and Friday.

County law enforcement officials served 52 out of 56 outstanding warrants and arrested 40 individuals. Last year more than 160 law enforcement agencies from 22 states participated in the nationwide sweep.
