Among the revelations from the hacked John Podesta emails released by WikiLeaks is quite a bit of evidence of media malpractice. But perhaps the most damning bit involves interim Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile:
Brazile has maintained that the email showing she got the questions in advance isn’t authentic. In fact, questioned about the emails by Megyn Kelly last week, Brazile remained defensive. “As a Christian woman, I understand persecution … I have seen so many doctored emails. I have seen things that come from me at 2 in the morning that I don’t even send,” she said.
I’ve done some extensive reporting on WikiLeaks, and to my knowledge, Brazile is the only person making the claim that an email is not authentic. And that claim just got a lot harder to make. If you want the technical details go read this, but basically email servers use a system called “DomainKeys Identified Mail” to validate emails, and the technical analysis shows that, in addition to Roland Martin not backing her story, Brazile isn’t telling the truth.
The question now is, will the media and the DNC hold Brazile accountable for this?
