Sean Hannity counseled Michael Cohen on Trump extramarital affairs during campaign

Fox News host and avid Trump supporter Sean Hannity reportedly advised former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen watch out for former girlfriends ahead of the 2016 election.

Cohen ultimately paid porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 and former Playboy model Karen McDougal $150,000 over their alleged affairs with President Trump.

According to two unnamed sources who were cited in the New York Times’ investigation into the relationship between the Murdoch family and the Trump campaign, the Fox News host “had effectively been a member of [Trump’s] campaign team, for instance pressing Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to be on the lookout for former girlfriends and employees who might make trouble for the candidate ahead of the election.”

In December, Cohen pleaded guilty to using campaign funds to pay off Daniels and McDougal. Trump’s former personal lawyer had indicated in his plea agreement that the payments were made at Trump’s direction.

Cohen was sentenced to prison last month for lying to U.S. officials and for financial crimes committed in relation to his work for Trump in the private sector.
