‘Spite is no way to run a country’: Kellyanne Conway slams Biden policy reversals

Former Trump 2016 campaign manager and senior counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway had one word to describe President Joe Biden‘s reversals of Trump-era policies: spite.

According to Conway, Biden’s actions, including the halting of the Keystone XL pipeline expansion and the anticipated end of Title 42, are done out of spite for former President Donald Trump.

“Spite is no way to run a country,” she told former Vice President Mike Pence on his podcast.

“We see so many of the great policies that Trump-Pence passed being unraveled,” Conway added. “And Mr. Vice President, I’d like to say it’s an ideological disagreement, but, most days, it just strikes me as spite.”

In reference to the looming end of Title 42, Pence explained that the Democratic Party is an “open borders party.”

“Had we gotten a second term, we would be working every day to fix a broken immigration system,” he said.

Conway further claimed that Biden is “vilifying” American oil and gas producers, adding that citizens know who is responsible for skyrocketing fuel prices.

“People know, and they know who’s responsible for that. It’s not Putin,” she said, referencing Biden’s slogan, “Putin’s price hike.”

Inflation isn’t just affecting people at the pump, Conway said. People are also struggling to pay for necessities such as diapers, baby formula, and food.

According to her, the polling is unanimously showing increased concern from the public. “All blocks of voters are very concerned about rising prices, inflation, and certainly inflation when it comes to groceries and gas,” she told Pence.

On the Young America’s Foundation-sponsored podcast, American Freedom with Mike Pence, Conway also weighed in on the long-awaited ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, set to come this summer. “Nearly 50 years after Roe v. Wade, many Americans are still unclear as to precisely what Roe provided and did not provide. And that opaqueness, that ambiguity has benefited the pro-abortion movement,” she said.

She then slammed Democrats for supporting what she says is “abortion — anyone, anytime, anywhere,” which evolved from the old “safe, legal, and rare” philosophy that the party once espoused.
