Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday called for Brenda Snipes, the election chief in Broward County, Fla., to be axed from her job amid recounts in the races for senator and governor.
“There is no question that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes failed to comply with Florida law on multiple counts, undermining Floridians’ confidence in our electoral process,” Bush, a Republican, tweeted Monday. “Supervisor Snipes should be removed from her office following the recounts.”
