“Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough is Team McMaster.
Amid multiple reports of an internal feud between the chief strategist Steve Bannon camp in the White House and national security adviser H.R. McMaster, Scarborough says Bannon is behind the “anonymous” McMaster bashing.
“Anonymous=Steve Bannon,” Scarborough tweeted Friday evening, sharing a report in which an anonymous source says McMaster anti-Israel, claiming he said the Middle East country is “illegitimate” and “occupying power.”
“It’s sad really how much he hates an American patriot like General McMaster who has proudly served for so long,” Scarborough said. McMaster is a three-star general who has served three decades in the U.S. Army.

The MSNBC journalist also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin “hates” McMaster and drew a parallel with Bannon’s feelings on the matter.
“Putin hates McMaster. Bannon, the self-described Leninist, hates General McMaster. Sadly, that makes sense,” he tweeted, adding the hashtag “#AmericansFirst.”
