FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Officials say a woman is dead after being hit by a car in Frederick County.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says its members were called around 6:30 a.m. Sunday to the scene of the crash on Route 194 in the area of Route 550. The sheriff’s office says the crash involved a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta and that the driver stopped to report the collision.
