The woman who comforted Kyle Rittenhouse’s mother while her son took the stand Wednesday is no stranger to high-profile court cases.
Jo-Ellan Dimitrius placed her arms around Rittenhouse’s mother as the 18-year-old wept during his trial for killing two men and injuring a third amid unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Dimitrius is a seasoned jury consultant who served on the O.J. Simpson defense team during Simpson’s 1995 murder trial, known as the “Trial of the Century.”

In the Simpson case, the perfect juror was “a female African American with high school education or less,” Dimitrius said in a 2016 interview.
The jury consultant has over 30 years of experience and has been frequently seen speaking with Rittenhouse’s defense attorney Mark Richards during the trial, according to the report.
