Several Twitter users praised Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard after California Sen. Kamala Harris announced the demise of her presidential bid.
The two candidates had a contentious relationship throughout the Democratic presidential primary. During the early debates, Gabbard clocked Harris over her switching her policies on issues such as marijuana legalization after her career as a California prosecutor. Harris pushed back by claiming it was “unfortunate” that Gabbard was in the race and accused her of echoing Fox News’s talking point.
When Harris announced the end of her campaign, several people celebrated Gabbard for her efforts to take down the senator throughout the campaign.

Kamala Harris after the second debate: “Obviously I’m a top tier candidate and so I did expect that I’d be on the stage and take some hits tonight- when people are at 0 or 1% or whatever she might be at.”
Nowhere but down from there… and Tulsi remains.

His campaign’s well wishes likely won’t be appreciated by Gabbard, who has been accused of being too chummy with Republicans throughout the Democratic primary. Hillary Clinton even claimed Russians were “grooming” Gabbard to break away from Democrats to launch a third-party bid, which could benefit Trump.
Gabbard, 38, has maintained that she will not run as a third-party candidate despite criticisms from within her party. She has 1% support, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average. She is one poll shy of qualifying for the Democratic debate in December.
