Man dies in single-vehicle crash in Loudoun County

A Middleburg, Va., man died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in Loudoun County just south of Leesburg, officials said.

About 8:30 p.m. Sunday, William Grant, 46, was driving a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix south on Route 15 near Foxfield Lane when the car left the road and hit a mailbox, a utility box and a utility pole, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Grant wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, authorities said.

He was taken to the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital, where he died.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
