GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Greeley police have seized 15 dogs from the back of a van after ticketing a woman for inhumane treatment of animals.
Police say the dogs are in good condition after being taken to a shelter.
Owner Lynn Robbins tells KMGH-TV (http://goo.gl/lARlZ ) she plans to fight the charges.
Police say they received a complaint and found the dogs in the back of the van with its window rolled up despite sweltering summer heat. Robbins was cited on 15 counts of unlawful confinement of animals in a vehicle and failure to provide humane treatment.
