Roseanne: ‘I’m not a racist’

Actress and producer Roseanne Barr said Wednesday that she is not racist and has spent her whole life fighting for minorities.

“I’m not a racist, I never was & I never will be. One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER b taken from me,” Barr tweeted Wednesday.

Barr defended herself after she tweeted on Tuesday that former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett was a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and “Planet of the Apes,” which led to charges that she is a racist.

About 24 hours after posting about Jarrett on Twitter, Barr’s show was canceled by ABC.
