The chair that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will sit on for his Tuesday hearing in the Senate was given some additional padding just before the start of the event.
This is the first time Zuckerberg will be testifying before Congress, and ahead of the meeting, his chair was set with a few inches of extra chair padding. He’s testifying before a joint hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.

It wasn’t clear why it was there, but the hearing will last long, and many on Twitter were suggesting that it might be a way to give Zuckerberg, who is just 5 feet 7 inches tall, a little bit of height at the table.
Zuckerberg will be providing testimony to the Senate on the Cambridge Analytica data breach that compromised the data of millions of Facebook users. On Wednesday he will continue his testimony, this time before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
