Bishops to announce large reorganization of D.C. staff

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is expected to approve a massive reorganization of its Washington staff when it meets in Baltimore in November.

Sister Mary Ann Walsh, a spokeswoman for the conference, told The Examiner Wednesday that some positions among the conference?s 300-person staff may be eliminated, but added “there is no indication of how many may be laid off.”
