Conservative commentator Ann Coulter does not approve of President Trump’s decision to give his daughter and son-in-law positions in the White House.
“That’s the one fascist thing he’s done. Hiring his kids,” Coulter told the Daily Caller in an interview Sunday.
Since taking office, Trump has faced backlash for giving Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner roles in the West Wing, though both are unpaid.
“I have from the beginning been opposed to Trump hiring any of his relatives,” Coulter said. “Americans don’t like that, I don’t like that.”
Coulter said she understands that being an outsider to Washington, Trump may have difficulty trusting anyone besides his relatives.
“This isn’t anything bad about Jared. Everything I know about him, I think he’s doing a great job,” she said. “But even if he is absolutely the best person for the job, I don’t like the hiring of relatives.”
