Jeffers Hill Elementary School students, art teacher Mark Luce and artist Tara Holl will be recognized Wednesday for their mosaic murals.
Two murals ? a 25-foot one that wraps around the outside of the building and another inside the auditorium ? were created with the theme of the goodness of the garden and earth. Students collected recycled materials and found objects for the murals.
The artwork was created by fourth- and fifth-graders, who worked with Holl during a month-long program with Holl.
A celebration will be held at 4:40 p.m. before the start of the school?s Gifted and Talented and Science Fair, which starts at 5 p.m.
