OkCupid has introduced a new “pro-choice” badge that can be displayed on users’ dating profiles in order to make their beliefs more prominent.
The optional display icon comes in response to Texas’s Senate Bill 8, which outlaws abortion after six weeks. The company announced that for every profile that uses the “pro-choice” badge, OkCupid will donate $1 to Planned Parenthood. OkCupid’s parent company, Match Group, has its headquarters in Dallas.
