Virginia’s Republican governor-elect made an appearance at a Wednesday celebration for the Marines’ 246th birthday.
Glenn Youngkin attended the cake-cutting ceremony for Marine veterans at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia. Lt. Gov.-elect Winsome Sears, a Marine veteran herself, joined him.
“I was honored to join LG-Elect @WinsomeSears today to celebrate the Marine Corps’ 246th Birthday at the National Museum of the Marine Corps,” Youngkin wrote on Twitter. “Our veterans play a vital role in the future of Virginia, and I look forward to going to work for them on Day One.”
