EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The 18-hole Forest Hills Open miniature golf course is “a rite of passage to spring,” said Bob Hammonds, Reitz High School media specialist.
The course, designed by Hammonds, started 20 years ago with just one hole, and is part of National Library Week festivities. Reitz started celebrating in 1984 to bring awareness to the importance of media centers and the role they play in educating students.
