A woman has died after she was hit by a school bus, Arlington County police said.
Louise Gabel, 89, of Falls Church, was hit by an Arlington County school bus while she was crossing the intersection of South 8th Road and Carlin Springs Road at about 7:30 a.m. Monday
Police said Gabel died from her injuries Monday night. None of the 12 children on the bus where injured.
The accident was still being investigated Tuesday.
