A spokeswoman for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign claimed Democrats could replace Joe Biden before the 2020 election, citing his mental acuity.
“Bernie was too kind to go after Biden, but it’s coming,” Briahna Joy Gray tweeted early Thursday morning.
“Either Dem leadership cares more [about] maintaining a corporate status quo than getting rid of Trump, or they’re planning to replace Joe — adopting a pretty fast and loose relationship w/ representative Democracy,” she said.
Gray also shared a clip of Fox News host Tucker Carlson questioning 77-year-old Biden’s mental capacity.
“Ask yourself, is Joe Biden ready to lead this country? Could he find his car in a three-tiered parking garage? Could he navigate a salad bar? And by the way, what exactly is his position on the coronavirus pandemic? Those are the mysteries Democrats now face,” Carlson said.

In recent days, several Fox News hosts have claimed anonymous Democratic sources had told them that members of their party have lost confidence in Biden as the Democratic nominee.
Sanders ended his presidential campaign on Wednesday. “I wish I could give you better news, but I think you know the truth, and that is that we are now some 300 delegates behind Vice President Biden, and the path toward victory is virtually impossible,” he said in a livestream address to supporters.
