Possible measles exposure at Reagan National Airport

Some travelers at Reagan National Airport last week may have been exposed to measles, the Arlington County Public Health Department said Friday.

The department said travelers in Terminal C between 8:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 may have been exposed to someone with measles. Those most at risk have already been notified, the department said.

Measles is highly contagious and is spread through coughing, sneezing, and contact with secretions from the nose, mouth, and throat of someone who is infected.

Symptoms include a fever, runny nose, watery red eyes and a cough, followed by a rash.
