JPMorgan CEO would love to run for president, and he has a Trump-like slogan

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says he would like to run for president, and he has a slogan ripped off from Donald Trump already picked out.

“My slogan: Make America fun again,” Dimon told a convention of finance professionals in Washington Friday.

The slogan, a riff on the Republican presidential candidate’s tagline, is for a presidential run that Dimon said he would like to launch but will not.

“I would love to be president,” Dimon said, but it won’t happen because he doesn’t have the necessary political experience and couldn’t withstand the process. “We torture those people,” he said.

Dimon criticized what he called the “incoherent” economic policy of the U.S. in recent years. “We have failed to collaborate,” he said, citing specifically Congress’ failure to pass the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement, the version of comprehensive immigration reform that cleared the Senate in 2013 or long-term fiscal reform.

The next president, he said, should “drop the rhetoric” pitting Democrats and Republicans and work on those issues, restoring the public’s faith in experts at the same time.
