The man who President Trump told to “start exercising” during his rally Thursday night is actually a supporter of the president.
Trump’s New Hampshire rally took an unexpected turn when the president commented on a heckler’s weight after he was forced to stop speaking because of the disruption.
“That guy’s got a serious weight problem! Go home. Start exercising,” Trump said when he resumed talking. “Got a bigger problem than I do. Got a bigger problem than all of us.”
Fox News’ Griff Jenkins found the person Trump was talking about and interviewed him.
Frank Dawson, who said he has spent 31 years in law enforcement and is a Navy veteran, was wearing a “Trump 2020” shirt and confirmed that the president was talking about him.
“He didn’t see me rip the signs away from those three people that were sitting near us, and they were trying to cause a ruckus,” Dawson stated, adding, “They jumped up and start yelling something. I don’t even care what they were yelling about. It wasn’t going to happen beside me because I’m trying to listen to my president.”
“But I think he thought I was part of it, but I wasn’t, I was the good part of it,” he continued. “Everything’s good, I love the guy, he’s the best thing that ever happened to this country.”
