Loudoun sheriff’s deputy indicted on bribery charge

A Loudoun County grand jury has indicted a sheriff’s deputy on charges of bribery and making a false report to law enforcement.

The 27-year-old deputy, Jason C. Warren, is accused of soliciting a bribe from a driver when he responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Ashburn on Sept. 15. He allegedly discarded a misdemeanor drug possession charge against the driver and gave inaccurate information about the incident to his superiors, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said.

Warren has worked for the agency since December 2008 and is on paid administrative leave.
