An escapee from a Baltimore County juvenile facility avoided arrest Wednesday night, despite being shot at by Maryland state troopers.
/>Davon Julius, 16, drove off while troopers were attempting to remove him from a vehicle in Baltimore. He remains at large and is wanted for escape from the Charles H. Hickey School on July 31.
/>Shortly before 11 p.m. in the 6000 block of The Alameda, Julius was seen entering a home. As troopers attempted to arrest him, Julius fled and ran to an alley, where he entered a blue Jeep Cherokee, police said.
/>As two troopers opened the driver?s side door and attempted to arrest Julius, he started the vehicle. He began to back up from the alley, trapping both troopers between the open door and the door jamb of the Jeep, police said. One trooper, Sgt. Steve Dulski, fired two shots from his semi-automatic pistol. It is not known at this time if the shots struck Julius, who fled from the scene driving the Jeep Cherokee, police said.
/>Neither trooper required medical treatment for minor injuries sustained during the incident.
