Dr. Valerie Hogue is the new associate dean of academic affairs and continuous quality improvement for the College of Notre Dame of Maryland’s new School of Pharmacy, which opens in 2009.
Hogue comes to the college from the Howard University School of Pharmacy, where she was co-director and mentor of the Health Resources and Services Administration Minority Faculty Fellowship Program.
During the past year, she also was a fellow at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Academic Leadership Fellows Program.
Among her achievements are being named Distinguished Faculty Author by Howard University in 2001, 2006 and 2007, and a recipient of the American Association of Diabetes Educators Bayer Research Award in 1999, according to a news release.
