Elon Musk announced he has put “serious thought” toward creating a new platform for social media.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has previously criticized Twitter for not allowing enough freedom of speech.

The South African native, widely recognized as the wealthiest man in the world, has a history of grievances with Twitter, according to a report.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission subpoenaed Musk in November following a tweet in which he asked his following if he should sell 10% of his stock in Tesla, the report noted.
In February, Musk returned the favor when he alleged the SEC was harassing him and trying to “chill” his free speech.
