Fox News to host two-hour virtual town hall with Trump and coronavirus task force officials

Fox News announced it will host a two-hour virtual town hall with President Trump amid the coronavirus outbreak.

On Monday, the network said anchors Harris Faulkner and Bill Hemmer are set to co-moderate the event on Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. EDT with President Trump and leading members of the White House coronavirus task force.

“Contributions will be made throughout the town hall by medical experts and FNC contributors Dr. Nicole Saphier and Dr. Marc Siegel as well as Dr. Mehmet Oz,” the network said in a press release.

The first half-hour will feature members of the task force, and the president will subsequently answer questions from the network’s viewers.

Earlier in March, Trump also participated in a Fox News town hall, his first of the 2020 election cycle, during which he answered questions from hosts Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier, as well as from viewers. The event ended up being the most-watched town hall in cable news history.
