Hillary Clinton took a shot at the media while congratulating French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron on his victory Sunday.
“Victory for Macron, for France, the EU, & the world,” she tweeted. “Defeat to those interfering w/democracy. (But the media says I can’t talk about that).”

Clinton was likely referring to Russia’s alleged interference in the French election just days before voters went to the polls. Macron’s campaign claimed Friday that it had been the target of a “massive” computer hack that leaked campaign emails.
Though fingers have been pointed at Russia, the country has denied any involvement in the hacks.
Clinton has faced criticism for mostly refusing to take responsibility for her defeat against President Trump. In an interview last week, Clinton blamed her loss on FBI Director James Comey and WikiLeaks, which she, like the U.S. intelligence community, tied to the Russian government.
“It wasn’t a perfect campaign,” Clinton said. “There is no such thing. But I was on the way to winning until a combination of Jim Comey’s letter on Oct.r 28th and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off. And the evidence for that intervening event is I think compelling, persuasive.”
