Loudoun County setting up sobriety checkpoint Friday

Drivers, consider yourselves warned. The Loudoun County sheriff’s office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday somewhere in the eastern part of the county.

The sheriff’s office establishes the checkpoints each month to raise public awareness and discourage impaired drivers.

“Our ultimate goal is to ensure the roads are safe for all motorists by achieving voluntary compliance with the drinking and driving laws,” Loudoun County Sheriff Steve Simpson said. “If you drink and drive, we’re going to catch you.”
