Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Monday President Trump should seek psychological help in response to a tweet about the government investigating Hillary Clinton’s “crimes.”
“This guy desperately needs psychiatric help,” Dean tweeted Monday afternoon.
Earlier Monday, Trump put new pressure on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate Hillary Clinton’s possible relationship with Russia.
“So why aren’t the Committees and investigators, and of course our beleaguered A.G., looking into Crooked Hillarys crimes & Russia relations?” Trump tweeted Monday. Dean responded to this message with his call for mental help.
Trump’s statement marks the second time he has indicated he is unhappy with Sessions’ performance at the country’s top Justice official.
Last week, Trump told reporters he would not have appointed Sessions, a foreign policy adviser to his campaign, to lead the Justice Department if he had known he would recuse himself from the investigation into Trump’s alleged ties with Russia.
