K-Fed weighs in with his side of the story

After Britney Spears opened up about her (second) failed marriage in Rolling Stone and on MTV, ex-husband Kevin Federline is sharing his own account of what went wrong. Though Brit says it was K-Fed who ended their marriage, he insists he was “completely blindsided” when his famous wife filed for divorce.

“I didn’t give her an ultimatum,” the FedEx recalls to People, “but I was trying to work stuff out with her, and she didn’t even talk to me or anything and went behind my back and filed [for divorce].”

Kevin says their custody-sharing situation is now “totally turning around.” But the January night when she locked herself in a bathroom with their younger son, Jayden — and was then carted off to a psych ward — was “one of my lowest points of depression.”

“I was very, very worried for her ’cause I care about her,” Kevin says. “That’s the mother of my children.”

No doubt. Because otherwise, those support checks wouldn’t keep coming.

Blake (Re-)Incarcerated

It looks like we spoke too soon when we said Blake Fielder-Civil’s rehab program was doing wonders. Just days after Amy Winehouse’s troubled hubby told the News of the World he was ready to let her go so she could get clean, he’s back in jail, after allegedly testing positive for drugs. Scoop! regrets the error.

According to the U.K.’s Sun, the music video assistant, who entered a recovery program as part of the terms of his early prison release, broke out of the rehab facility when he found out he’d be heading back to jail. He showed up at the hospital room where Amy is being treated for — well, um, take your pick — and made a desperate bid to save the marriage.

Frankly, we feel a little foolish that we actually believed Blake was making progress. But hey, this means he could now be locked up — and out of Amy’s life — until 2010. It’s a holiday miracle!

Healthy Swayze

Patrick Swayze says reports of his imminent death have been greatly exaggerated. The cancer-stricken actor released a statement to People expressing his outrage at false reports “that I’m on my last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family.”

“Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease, and from the moment I was diagnosed I knew I was in for the fight of my life,” the “Dirty Dancing” star acknowledges. “It’s a battle, and, so far, I’ve been winning.

“It’s upsetting that the shoddy and reckless reporting from these publications cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I’m fighting. … For me, my family and those close to me, it amounts to downright emotional cruelty.”

Obviously Patrick’s got plenty of fight in him. Let’s hope he shuts down cancer as decisively as he just shut down those tabloid reports.
