Donald Trump said Hillary Clinton’s poor judgment “killed thousands, unleashed [the Islamic State], and wrecked the economy.”
While Clinton spoke in Columbus, Ohio, Trump launched the attack on Twitter, and his campaign sent rapid response emails to reporters.
“Hillary says this election is about judgment. She’s right. Her judgement has killed thousands, unleashed ISIS and wrecked the economy,” Trump tweeted.
Trump issued a similar tweet exactly one month ago, claiming that Clinton had “unleashed ISIS in Iraq, Syria, and Libya.” In May, the presumptive GOP nominee said Clinton was “reckless and dangerous,” now he’s saying her judgment caused mass murder.
The latest attack on the presumptive Democratic nominee by the Trump campaign comes as he prepares to deliver a speech on Wednesday aimed at attacking Clinton. Trump appears to be looking to go back on the offensive after a spate of bad news that included the firing of his campaign manager and the revelation of massive deficit of campaign cash-on-hand in comparison to Clinton.
With under one month to go until the GOP convention, Trump seems to have refocused his attention on badgering Clinton rather than internal GOP feuding.
