Laura Ingraham on Rudy Giuliani’s reimbursement bombshell: ‘They better have an explanation for that’

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham on Wednesday said Rudy Giuliani may have caused more legal trouble for President Trump when he admitted Trump repaid Michael Cohen, his personal lawyer, $130,000 given to porn star Stormy Daniels as part of an agreement to keep her silent about her alleged affair with the president.

“I love Rudy, but they better have an explanation for that. That’s a problem,” Ingraham said on her program, “The Ingraham Angle.”

Ingraham added she would often look for inconsistencies in statements issued by pertinent players in any cases she took when she was a criminal defense lawyer.

“There may be an explanation for this and I think we will probably hear one, but the Left is going to seize on that,” Ingraham said. “It’s all about credibility and impeaching somebody’s credibility throughout the process. You can see where this is going to go.”

Giuliani, now one of Trump’s personal attorneys, told Fox News personality Sean Hannity Wednesday that Trump repaid Cohen the $130,000 offered to Daniels to not go public about her relationship with the president more than a decade ago.

His comments contradict Trump, who has said he did not not know about the payment.

Giuliani also said the payment was not campaign money and therefore there had been no campaign finance violation.
