If that weekend project list keeps getting longer, here’s something that just got easier to cross off: re-caulking the bathtub.
General Electric offers a line of disposable, one-time-use Caulk Singles for quick fixes around the house. The disposable packages are simple and easy to use. Just tear the top, squeeze the package and an even bead of caulk is dispensed — no caulking gun required, and no waste is left over in the package. And the small size (1.25 ounces) means it can be stored anywhere.
With winter sneaking up on us, the Singles can be used on windows and doors for a quick fix to conserve energy and keep the heat inside. To seal a medium-sized window, about two packs are needed; for doors, about three.
The Singles come in white or clear, paintable or waterproof and are sold for about $3.50 per pack. They are available at Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Do It Best and True Value stores.
