What: Continues to run Thomas Stone National Historic Site for $638,000 a year. The park ranked 344th last year among 360 sites where NPS tracks
attendance.
Why it’s an outrage: Very little of Declaration of Independence signer Thomas Stone’s actual possessions and letters remain on the site. When it was originally considered for a national park, many felt it was of marginal value. Apparently, it still is.
Where to vent: Call the National Capital Region office at 202-619-7000.
