Publix announced Wednesday that all of its Russian vodka will be gone soon.
“Publix stands with the people of Ukraine,” a Publix spokesperson said. “To show our support, we have decided to remove Russian-made vodka brands from our shelves.”
It is not clear when all products will be removed or what management will do with the product.
This comes after Kroger similarly announced Tuesday that it already removed its Russian vodka last weekend. In addition, it announced it will be matching donations made to the United Nations’s World Food Programme’s Ukraine Emergency Fund up to $250,000.
