President Trump may live-tweet during FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday.

Washington Post reporter Bob Costa told MSNBC on Tuesday that Trump may seek to use Twitter as the hearing is happening to counter-message Comey’s testimony.
“The president is expected to be tweeting on Thursday in response to Comey, not to stay quiet during the testimony,” Costa said. “Because he himself wants to be the one driving the process.”
Comey, who was fired by Trump last month, is expected to be asked by the Senate Intelligence Committee about his conversations with the president and whether Trump pressured him to end the FBI’s probe of any ties between the campaign and Russia.
Comey’s public testimony starts at 10 a.m. Thursday, and at 1 p.m., he is scheduled to appear in a closed session before the same committee.
Trump, meanwhile, is scheduled to appear before the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to the Majority” conference at 12:30 p.m., which will give him a chance to react to the public Comey testimony.
In addition to speaking at conference, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump will be meeting with mayors and governors about his infrastructure plan.
“The president is going to have a very busy day as he does all the time, and I think he’s going to be focused on pursuing the agenda and the priorities that he was elected to do,” Spicer said.
