D.C. police arrested two people in a raid of an alleged brothel on the revitalized Barracks Row four days after a man died at the massage parlor.
D.C. police first raided the VIP Spa, at 719 Eight St. SE, in late June, where they made two arrests. Me Jung Kim, 34, was arrrested on a charge of solicitation for prostitution, and Song Davis, 46, was charged with operating a business without a license, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Three days later, an Alexandria man collapsed at the Capitol Hill building and was taken to a George Washington University Hospital where he died. D.C. medical examiners as of Thursday had not determined the cause of death.
D.C. police returned to the business July 7, this time with a search warrant, according to Narcotics and Special Investigations Division Cmdr. Tom McGuire.
Police confiscated appointment books and notepads, according to police reports. No arrests were made.
