Trump ‘strongly condemns’ fake mass shooting video of him killing critics before seeing it

President Trump “strongly” condemned the fake video of him killing members of the media and his critics that aired at a pro-Trump conference before seeing the video in question.

America Priority, a pro-Trump group, hosted a three-day conference at Trump National Doral Miami last week. A video was played during the conference that featured Trump’s head superimposed on the body of a person opening fire in the “Church of Fake News,” in which he can be seen shooting media outlets and specific political opponents.

“Re: the video played over the weekend: The @POTUS @realDonaldTrump has not yet seen the video, he will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham stated on Twitter Monday morning.

America Priority released a statement Monday morning claiming that “an unauthorized video was shown in a side room at #AMPFest19. This video was not approved, seen, or sanctioned by the #AMPFest19 organizers.” It goes on to criticize the New York Times for “not reporting[ing] on any of the sanctioned events in the article.”

Both Jonathan Karl, the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, and CNN, one of the networks that was featured in the video, called on the president to denounce it.

The Trump campaign also distanced themselves from the video saying that they “do not condone violence.”
