Explosions were heard near the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Sunday.
Two Katyusha rockets landed in the Green Zone, but no casualties were reported. Authorities discovered launchers at a nearby market in Iraq’s capital. Sirens could be heard wailing in videos from the area.
The incident occurred just after Iraq’s Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Allawi withdrew his candidacy for the position.

In late January, three Katyusha rockets hit inside the embassy compound while others landed outside the compound. Last month, four rockets landed near the embassy but did not result in any causalities.
