Tickets to Michelle Obama’s upcoming book tour are selling out quickly, but some fans aren’t happy about the steep prices to see the former first lady.
Tickets to hear her discuss her forthcoming memoir “Becoming” ranged from $29.50 to $3,000, according to the Washington Post. The most expensive tickets included front-row seats, an opportunity to meet Obama, and a signed book.
Most of the cheapest seats were sold during the pre-sale. As of Friday afternoon, remaining tickets for her appearance on Nov. 17 at Capitol One Arena in Washington began at $850.
Some fans complained about the remaining ticket prices on Twitter.
“I guess us normals can’t buy tickets to see Michelle Obama,” one Twitter user wrote Friday. “The cheapest that popped up on Ticketmaster were $450.”
I guess us normals can’t buy tickets to see Michelle Obama here in NorCal. Allegedly ticket prices went as low as $26 but the cheapest that popped up on Ticketmaster were $450.

Another woman compared the ticket prices to seeing Beyonce in concert.
Michelle Obama is out here selling Beyoncé priced tickets and I was not prepared?
