HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — She was called the “the Angel of the Battlefield,” but Civil War nurse Clara Barton can now claim the infield and outfield as well.

On Saturday, the minor-league Hagerstown Suns are giving away 1,000 Clara Barton bobblehead dolls to mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

Barton attended the Battle of Antietam in nearby Sharpsburg on Sept. 17, 1862. She later co-founded the American Red Cross.

Suns General Manager Bill Farley has ordered special jerseys for the event, based on Union soldier uniforms. He says the jerseys will be raffled off, with proceeds benefiting the Red Cross.

The Suns are a Classs A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
