CNN host Don Lemon was spotted on a trip enjoying the Florida weather maskless after repeatedly chastising Republicans such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for putting lives at risk because of their opposition to mask mandates.
Lemon was relaxing by a pool Sunday soaking in the Florida sun when a woman confronted him and “thanked” the maskless host for “exposing everything,” according to footage of the encounter posted to social media.
Lemon grabbed his belongings and left as the woman told him to enjoy “the great state of Florida.”

“We love you in Florida,” she called after the host.
In the past, Lemon chided Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and DeSantis for “putting their own political gain ahead of children’s lives.”
The host called out Abbott for issuing an executive order banning school districts from requiring masks then contracting the virus.
Abbott “tested positive for COVID-19 the day after he attended this crowded indoor Republican club meeting … apparently not wearing a mask,” Lemon said Aug. 18.

Lemon also said DeSantis’s stance against the Miami-Dade School Board mask mandate was “b*******.”
“It is just depraved,” Lemon said. “People are dying all across this country, people with loved ones who are grieving tonight … Their loss is a very preventable tragedy.”
“He’s not only speaking out against masks, but he’s putting executive orders in place punishing schools who are trying to require students and staff to wear masks,” he continued.

“Don was in Florida for less than 24 hours (does not equate to a vacation),” a CNN spokesperson said in a statement sent to the Washington Examiner. “He is fully vaccinated and has received his booster shot. Don’s activities were outside and were not in violation of CDC mask requirements.”
