Podcaster Joe Rogan had a segment on his show about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s resemblance to former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
Rogan commented on the “wild” similarities between photos of Trudeau and Castro on his podcast, which is also on YouTube. The rumors of their possible relation began after the suicide of Castro’s oldest son Fidelito when unconfirmed reports of his suicide note claimed Castro referred to Trudeau as his “half brother.” At the top of the segment, Rogan read from an article titled: “No, Fidel Castro is not Canada PM Trudeau’s father.”

“The theory was that Castro was Trudeau’s father was also shared wildly on social media,” Rogan said. “Just for funsies, let’s Google. Look at the two of them together. There’s multiple photos.”

Rogan flipped through photos of Trudeau and Castro when they were about the same age. Trudeau turned 50 on Christmas day last year, while Castro turned 45 the year he was born.
“Yeah, that’s wild. That is f***ing wild,” Rogan said. “Hey bro, you need a 23andMe right away, sir. It’s wild how close he looks. If it’s not his dad, if I was the father, I’d be suspicious as s***.”
However, upon seeing photos of Trudeau’s father, Pierre Trudeau, Rogan conceded that the prime minister also looks a lot like his actual father.
“OK, but he looks like his real dad, too. Yeah, he looks a lot like his real dad,” Rogan said. “OK, I give up. It’s just a coincidence. He looks a lot like his real dad, dude.”

Rogan finished the segment by reminding his listeners: “It’s just fun.”
Justin Trudeau’s mother, Margaret, was 22 when she married his 51-year-old father while he was prime minister. He was born a little over nine months after the pair married.
