JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Power has been restored to downtown Jackson where an outage stalled work in state and local government offices and some private businesses for about 1½ hours.
Officials of Entergy Mississippi say about 415 customers temporarily lost electric power Friday from about 10:30 a.m. to shortly after noon.
Company spokesman Mara Hartmann says the outage was caused by a problem with a switch at a substation.
The affected area included businesses, state and city offices, the Capitol and the Hinds County Courthouse.
