Service members wounded after convoy attack in Afghanistan

A vehicle laden with explosives attacked a convoy in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on Friday, injuring a small number of service members, the military said.

Those service members were taken to the Kandahar Airfield hospital for treatment, according to a statement from Operation Resolute Support, the NATO-led force in Afghanistan.

A military official said the all the wounded service members are from Romania.

This week, five U.S. service members were among the wounded after a similar attack near the village of Qal’eh-ye Musa Bala in Parwan province.

Other wounded included members of the NATO mission, and Afghan civilians.
