President Trump’s disapproval rating has risen to a new all-time high of 60 percent, according to the Gallup daily tracking poll.
As of June 12, only 36 percent of voters approve of Trump’s job performance.
Trump’s rising disapproval rating comes as he is facing intense scrutiny over his decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, who alleged in high-profile Senate testimony last week the president pressured him over the bureau’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are also struggling to advance the major aspects of their agenda, including health care and tax reform.
The daily tracking poll is based on telephone interviews with 1,500 adults across the country. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
