An alert librarian in North Carolina is being credited with finding a Crofton boy who was abducted by his father.

Six-year-old Colin Jackson was found about 5:30 p.m. Monday in Swain County, N.C.,  after a librarian recognized the missing boy from a flyer posted on the Internet.

The boy was reunited with his mother this morning, police said in a news release.

David Jackson abducted Colin on Aug. 28 after the boy?s first day of first grade. Colin was going to his noncustodial father?s house for a visit, but David vacated his house and took Colin with him, according to Anne Arundel police.

Colin;s mother, Cheryl Jackson, said her ex-husband was “very upset with the legal system” following their custody trial in 2004. She was awarded sole custody of their son and David was granted visitation.
